It’s not every day that you come across a love story like this. Ariana and Mitch have known each other since Kindergarten and have been a pair since their early middle school days. You can tell right away when meeting them that they were meant to be. You can see it in how their families have blended so seamlessly, in how their friend group holds them tightly together, in how they move and laugh in sync, in how gently Mitch looks at his bride, and in how secure Ariana looks holding her grooms hand. Love is a beautiful thing my friends.
Their wedding day was a long time coming, having only ever dated each other since middle school. In our interviews with Ariana and Mitch, they both expressed how surreal it felt that it was actually the day of their wedding, a day they knew would come when their love deepened in high school. It was wild to hear how they truly loved each other even in those early days, how could you expect a 16 year old to know anything about love? Well, as a self-described “old souls”, there is no denying that even then, even so young, that they were soul mates.
Having such a long history together, the bond between their families was so beautifully tangible. Every single family member and guest was beaming the entire day, a day everyone had been eagerly anticipating for so many years. When it was time for the toasts, Ariana and Mitch’s brothers and sisters took turns making every person in the room a crying mess (including our team). It was a beautiful and powerful thing to be a witness to – Love was so present, you could reach your hand out and pluck it out of the air.
With the rustic setting of the Sonshine Barn, we ended our evening with a sunset stroll through a field and dancing our faces off. If we could rewind this day and do it all over again, we absolutely would.
We were so honored to not only photograph their wedding day but create a highlight and a film to share their incredible love story. Enjoy!
If you can’t get enough of their highlight – watch their film as well!
